Spring Colon Cleansing
Переглянути сторінку українською
In winter, we eat hearty, “heavy” food and move less – the body requires more calories for heating and works in a frugal mode. By spring, deposits accumulate in the intestines, which poison the entire body – absorbed through the blood, toxins negatively affect the functioning of many organs. The slagging of the intestines is even reflected in the appearance, giving the skin an earthy hue.
Cleansing the intestines is the first step in cleansing the body. It is recommended to carry it out in spring and autumn, when all changes are much easier than in winter, due to a slowed metabolism. Ayurvedic experts believe that cleansing the intestines and the entire body is most effective during the period when plants begin to “come to life”, that is, in April.
The question of whether it is worth cleansing the intestines is still debatable. On the one hand, the need for this seems obvious – unfortunately, not everything superfluous is excreted – in the body of an adult, especially if he does not monitor his diet, 5-10 kg of fecal stones accumulate. And since the processes of defecation do not stop, this waste “provides” all internal systems with toxins. Naturally, there is a desire to get rid of this load. On the other hand, the body is a balanced self-regulating system, hundreds of species of bacteria live in the intestines, including beneficial microflora. And any harsh cleansing methods can disrupt the harmony of this microworld.
How to understand whether you need a bowel cleansing? Perhaps it will improve your condition if you have: problems with defecation, frequent bloating, bad breath, if you feel a lack of strength, depression, if your immunity is weakened. However, it should be remembered that many diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are contraindications for the use of some cleansing methods. Therefore, before taking decisive action, you should consult a gastroenterologist. Let’s consider the simplest and most popular methods of bowel cleansing.
Such methods can be used only on the recommendation and under the supervision of doctors.
Mechanical washing
A radical medical method is colon hydrotherapy, which is the irrigation of all parts of the large intestine with large volumes of liquid using a special device. Those who prefer to do everything at home and independently use enemas for this purpose. As a rule, cleansing lasts several days, with a gradual increase in the volume of liquid administered – this can be ordinary boiled water, water with beetroot decoction (to obtain it, it is necessary to boil peeled beets for half an hour, contraindicated in tumors and elevated hemoglobin levels), herbal decoctions (it is recommended to exclude chamomile, which harms the intestinal microflora).
The temperature of the liquid administered should be slightly higher than room temperature. After the procedure, it is necessary to keep the water inside for at least 5-10 minutes. The procedures are carried out using enemas, heating pads with tubes, Esmarch’s mug. Enemas are usually given in the morning and evening.
In order to give yourself an enema, some skill is required. Enemas are contraindicated in acute inflammatory and erosive-ulcerative lesions of the intestines, gastrointestinal bleeding, neoplasms in the intestines, type I diabetes, after surgery, severe heart, pulmonary, renal failure, hemorrhoids, hypo- and avitaminosis, and other acute ailments.
Cleansing with saline solutions
Recommended for dysbacteriosis (so to speak, there is nothing to lose), skin and allergic diseases. Within 60-90 minutes, drink 8-10 glasses of salted water in a row at intervals of 5-10 minutes. The water should be heated to about 40 degrees Celsius. The amount of salt is about a teaspoon per liter of water. The solution should be saltier than the blood, otherwise the method will not work – the water will be absorbed and exit in its usual way. Salty water will “pull” liquid and harmful substances from the intestinal walls. You need to drink the solution until the water comes out as clean as it came in. It is recommended to carry out such a cleansing several times.
Of course, this method has significant drawbacks. According to the law of the concentration gradient, minerals missing from the solution are “washed out” from the body. Therefore, it is recommended to use Karlovy Vary or sea salt, rather than ordinary table salt, or to use special mineral-rich solutions, the composition and physical parameters of which correspond to the characteristics of the environment in the large intestine.
Contraindications: stomach ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, dysentery, diarrhea, acute colitis and appendicitis, neoplasms in the intestine, stones in the gallbladder and kidneys, mechanical intestinal obstruction, type I diabetes, exacerbation of hemorrhoids, heart, pulmonary, severe renal failure, pregnancy.
Cleansing diets
Probably the most gentle method. For example, cleansing with juices – only freshly squeezed and without adding water and sugar. You need to set aside one fasting day once a week – if possible, refuse food and drink a glass of juice per hour. Within a month, you can significantly improve the functioning of the intestines. The juice can be carrot, apple, grape, orange – it is better to diversify the “juicy” menu. In addition to juices, you can drink brewed green tea. If you cannot do without food at all, you can eat fruit.
The simplest method is cleansing the intestines with apples. Every day for a month, grate and eat two or three apples on an empty stomach. Have breakfast three hours after an apple snack. Such a diet perfectly removes fecal stones. It must be remembered that in the case of erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract or with acute gastritis, such experiments cannot be carried out.
Another good way is to cleanse the intestines with bran. Thanks to the fiber contained in them, more harmful substances are excreted from the body. It is necessary to eat 2-3 tablespoons of bran 3 times a day 15 minutes before meals, washing them down with clean drinking water (mineral, non-carbonated, drink at least a glass). Such cleansing lasts a month.
Combined methods
Different specialists offer many cleansing programs that include enemas, diets and physical exercises. It is suggested to exclude smoked, salty foods, pastries, and give preference to plant foods rich in vitamins and fiber, which are cereals, fruits and vegetables. And the physical exercises are quite simple: take a few deep breaths, then pulling in and then protruding the stomach. Raise the right leg bent at the knee and connect it with the elbow of the left arm, then vice versa.
Phytopreparations to help
Mikoton is a natural biosorbent that helps cleanse the entire body. It works as a molecular filter in the bloodstream, cleansing it of large molecules of harmful substances. When taking Mikoton, it is necessary to adhere to the correct water regime – drink at least two liters of fluid per day. Yantra Microcrystalline Cellulose also has a sorbent effect.
It must be remembered that any forced cleansing of the intestines (even a diet, if it is long) harms the intestinal microflora and can cause dysbacteriosis. Therefore, after cleansing, it is necessary to drink a complex to restore the microflora. We recommend the phytopreparation Bifido-Lacto forma. It contains dry biomass of bifido- and lactobacteria, as well as plant components and milk powder, which create favorable conditions for their vital activity.
