Perfect digestion is simple

Normal digestion is the key to health and longevity. Unfortunately, we do not always eat right, so few people can boast of the ideal state of the gastrointestinal tract. Meanwhile, maintaining the normal functioning of the digestive system is not so difficult, it is enough to take into account a few basic factors.
Diet
You need to eat regularly – so as not to feel hungry during the day. If, when hungry, you pounce on food, this leads not only to the accumulation of extra pounds, but also to more serious problems. By eating every 3-4 hours, you constantly maintain your sugar level in the norm and thereby prevent an increase in insulin levels in the blood. If you starve or, conversely, eat too much at one meal, you risk getting diabetes sooner or later.
The optimal diet is a four-time meal, with it the load on the digestive tract is distributed evenly, the food is completely processed by enzymes and is well absorbed. It is worth remembering that breakfast should account for at least 25-30% of the daily diet, while dinner can be relatively light. And the last meal should be eaten two to three hours before bedtime, so that the food has time to be successfully digested. Otherwise, both sleep and the stomach will work hard.
It is very important to eat at the same time – this ensures the rhythm of the gastrointestinal tract. Our body remembers the “feeding clock” and prepares in advance for food processing.
Nutrition quality
Of course, nutrition should be complete – that is, our body should receive all the proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals necessary for its activity. At the same time, it is worth limiting the consumption of harmful foods: salt, sugar, industrial carbonated lemonades, sausages, etc. It is worth replacing “simple” carbohydrates (cookies, vermicelli, loaf, sweets) with “complex” ones (whole grain bread, brown rice, durum wheat pasta). They are digested longer, which means they do not provoke the release of insulin, do not lead to the deposition of fat and satisfy the feeling of hunger for a long time.
To avoid problems with digestion, it is necessary not to abuse “heavy” food. “Heavy” food is not necessarily harmful, but it is poorly absorbed and requires more energy for digestion. The heaviness and lightness of food for each person is purely individual. Traditionally, heavy food includes mushrooms, nuts, incorrect combinations of products, for example, bread with meat, many people do not tolerate milk well.
How much food do we need
Some nutritionists believe that a person needs exactly as much food per day as fits in the palm of their hand. Of course, many will not agree with this statement. Everyone has their own daily norm, but in general we can say that a person needs to receive at least 2000 kcal per day. At the same time, it is worth remembering that overeating, as well as malnutrition, has a detrimental effect on the entire digestive system. According to the old advice, you need to get up from the table slightly hungry. The feeling of satiety comes with a delay of about 20 minutes.
Drinking regimen
For the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, it is very important to consume a sufficient amount of clean water – at least one and a half liters per day. To get your stomach going for the day, it is advisable to drink a glass of warm water 20-30 minutes before breakfast. However, this habit can be extended to all meals. But during the meal itself, it is better not to drink food – the liquid dilutes the gastric juice and digestion becomes difficult.
Preventive herbal remedies
You can regulate the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract with the help of medicinal herbs: galangal root, thyme, St. John’s wort, yarrow, peppermint, calendula flowers. Tinctures of these plants have long been used for digestive disorders. In the right combination, they can work wonders. The Amrita company has released the herbal remedy Chystosyl. The herbal remedy is an excellent means of preventing diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and biliary tract, and also helps to relieve some unpleasant symptoms. It not only improves digestion, but also harmonizes the entire metabolism.
